The problem with the stock GE-7 as with most mass production pedals is the use of cheap components and components that are not designed for audio. - Audio grade tone caps with corrected frequencies for guitar. - High quality coupling caps. - High quality audio grade op-amps. - Upgraded power supply can run at 18V for more headroom. As with all our kits, full color instructions are included. This kit has instructions for both the original ACA powered GE-7 and the newer version powered with a PSA power supply. For those with the older version, instructions are included to convert the pedal to accept the modern PSA boss power supply or run at up to 18v!
